One of the somewhat recent traditions for the Saint Mary’s men’s soccer team is its annual team retreat to Lake Tahoe. Each preseason, head coach Adam Cooper takes his team away from campus for a little team building, bonding and, of course, fitness and soccer training.
The team opens its season a week from Friday with a 5 p.m. (Pacific) contest at Colgate University in upstate New York. The Gaels’ home opener is scheduled for Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. against Central Arkansas.
