Patty & Delly lead Boomers to historic victory in Rio

Saint Mary’s basketball continues to make an impact for the Aussie Boomers at the Rio Olympics as Patrick Mills and Matthew Dellavedova combined for 49 points in a 95-80 group victory over Serbia.

Delly scored 23 points on 7-of-8 shooting and registered an Aussie Olympic record 13 assists without a turnover.  Mills led the team with 26 points.

Australia returns to action Wednesday in a highly anticipated matchup against the United States.  Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. on NBCSN.
