Kickert added to Aussie Olympic Team camp

Former Saint Mary’s basketball star Daniel Kickert has been added to the training camp roster for the Australian National Team as it prepares for the upcoming Rio Olympics.

Most of the current 18-man roster has assembled in Melbourne to begin its training camp from Tuesday July 5-Thursday July 14 with the aim to select the final team ahead of Rio.

Kickert, a member of the 2006 Boomers team that participated in the world championships, joins fellow Gaels Matthew Dellavedova and Patrick Mills at the pre-Olympics camp.

Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut’s availability for Rio is yet to be determined after he suffered an injury in the NBA playoffs.  He is undergoing rehabilitation and physiotherapy and will not participate in the camp.
