Holt signs with Spanish top division side Andorra

Following a highly successful season with Melbourne in Australia’s National Basketball League, former Saint Mary’s guard Stephen Holt has signed to play the rest of the European season with Andorra of Spain’s Liga ACB.

Holt averaged 15.5 points per game and was a second team all-NBL selection as he helped lead Melbourne to the semifinals of the league’s postseason tournament.   Last season, the Portland native played with the Canton Charge of the NBA’s D-League.

Andorra is currently in 10th place in the 18-team Spanish first division, which includes recognizable clubs such as Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.  Former SMC forward Ian O’Leary plays for Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias in that same league.
