After breaking into the USTFCCCA Regional Rankings for the first time in program history this season, the Saint Mary’s College men’s cross country team has now moved up to the program’s highest-ever ranking at No. 14 in the West, as announced by the national organization on Monday.
The Gaels are coming off a fifth-place finish at the West Coast Conference championship on Saturday, the program’s best finish at the meet in 15 years. Saint Mary’s is ranked behind No. 13 Arizona State, which finished eighth at the Pac-12 Conference championship on Friday. WCC rival San Francisco is No. 12 in the West.
