Champenois listed among PDL’s best goalkeepers

Saint Mary’s senior Lucas Champenois was named as one of 10 top professional goalkeeping prospects that played in the summer’s Premier Development League.  The Mountain View, Calif. native played for Albuquerque Sol FC for the second-straight summer.

He started 10 games, recorded six shutouts and ranked fourth in the league in goals against average at 0.6.  Champ’s six shutouts was the third-most in the league.

Saint Mary’s opens the 2015 season next week on the road at a tournament hosted by Duke University.  The Gaels host La Salle in their home opener on Sept. 4.  For a complete schedule, click here.
