Barraclough earns first major league victory

Former Saint Mary’s pitcher Kyle Barraclough earned his first major league victory last night when the Miami Marlins defeated Boston 14-6 at Marlins Park.

The Santa Clara, Calif. native entered the game in the fifth inning, and pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed just one hit while striking out four batters.  He has appeared in three games since joining the Marlins recently.  In those three games, Barraclough has faced 11 batter and has allowed just one hit with five strikeouts.
