Calvin Named NCSAA National Player Of The Year

Having already earned her share of awards this offseason, incoming Saint Mary’s volleyball player Lindsey Calvin added perhaps one of the most impressive of those accolades on Saturday when she was named Large School National Player of the Year by the National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA).

Calvin, who starred at Central Valley Christian in Visalia, Calif., already put her name among the best volleyball players in the nation when she was selected for the California All-State Division II team by MaxPreps.com. She was also namedΒ Tulare County Player of the Year by the Visalia Times-Delta and Tulare Advance Register.

And, Calvin is just one of four highly decorated recruits coming to Saint Mary’s. Payton Rund, Lindsey Knudsen and Sarah Chase will join Calvin in Moraga and each owns an impressive and lengthy list of accomplishments all their own. The four newest Gaels will report over the summer and begin court action this fall.
