Mills returns from injury in San Antonio victory

Former Saint Mary’s guard Patrick Mills made his season debut for the San Antonio Spurs tonight after missing the team’s first 31 games due to a shoulder injury.  He scored 8 points in the team’s 110-106 victory over in-state rival Houston.

Mills averaged 10.2 points off the bench in the Spurs’ NBA championship run last season.

“I felt helpless,” Mills said afterward.  “I couldn’t do anything. It was just good to get out there. Shoulder felt great. It’s just getting a rhythm.”
