Aussie Boomers open pre-World Cup games tomorrow

Former Saint Mary’s guard Matthew Dellavedova and the Australian National Team play the first of nine games in Europe tomorrow morning as they prepare for the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

The Boomers play Finland tomorrow morning at 6:15 a.m. (Pacific) in a 3-game tournament in Lithuania.  They face Ukraine on Saturday at 6:15 a.m., then play the hosts on Sunday at 9 a.m.

Other warm-up games include a contest at Finland and five games in France (3 in Nice, 2 in Strasbourg) before opening the World Cup on Saturday, August 30 against Slovenia.
