Pair of Gaels ready to face China in Sino-Australia Challenge

Former Saint Mary’s men’s basketball standouts Clint Steindl and Lucas Walker are among the 12 Australian players that comprise the Boomers’ side that will face China Thursday (5:30 a.m. – Pacific Time) in the Sino-Australia Challenge at Challenge Stadium in Perth.

The event is in its second year and is a four-game challenge series between the national basketball teams of Australia and China.  The two teams will play again on Saturday in Perth then again on June 6th and 8th in China.

Steindl (Cairns Taipans) and Walker (Melbourne United – formerly the Tigers) each play professionally in Australia’s National Basketball League.
