Former Gael Louella Tomlinson helped her professional team win the Hungarian league title. Playing for PINKK Pecsi 424, Tomlinson scored seven points in the decisive fifth game of the championship series as PINKK defeated PEAC Pecs 54-42.
With the series tied up at 2-2, PINKK pulled away in the fourth quarter, beginning the quarter with a 5-0 run and extending the lead to seven points. PEAC came as close as three points, but PINKK held PEAC to just four points in the final five minutes to seal the win and championship.
With the win, PINKK Pecsi 424 gets a chance to play in the EuroLeague Women next season.
Tomlinson played for SMC from 2007-11, becoming the all-time leading scorer for the Gaels with 1,840 career points. She is No. 2 in rebounding with 1,122 rebounds at SMC and second in the NCAA with 656 career blocks.
