Waldow lauded as CHD’s WCC Player of the Year

Saint Mary’s junior forward Brad Waldow earned WCC Player of the Year honors by Jon Teitel of College Hoops Daily, an independent college basketball blog.  A first-team all-WCC selection by league coaches and an all-district honoree by the NABC, Waldow is the team leader in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and blocked shots.

The Shingle Springs, Calif. native is joined on CHD’s all-league team by Tyler Haws of BYU, Anthony Ireland of Loyola Marymount, Brendan Lane of Pepperdine and Sam Dower of Gonzaga.  Santa Clara’s Jared Brownridge was honored as the website’s rookie of the year, while San Francisco’s Tim Derksen was the 6th man of the year and the Dons’ Rex Walters was the coach of the year.
