Holt enters elite scoring company

Last month against George Mason, Saint Mary’s guard Stephen Holt became the 29th men’s basketball player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark.  He enters tonight’s game against Portland with 1,035 career points and sits in 24th place on the school’s career scoring chart.

A native of Portland, Holt is 28 points away from A.J. Rollins for 23rd place on the scoring chart.

Tonight at Portland, Holt is expected to have more than 100 family and friends at the game – along with supporters of fellow 503 area code teammates Garrett Jackson, Paul McCoy and Calvin Hermanson.
