Simpson joins Israeli side Ironi Nes-Ziona

Former Saint Mary’s forward Diamon Simpson has agreed to terms with Ironi Nes-Ziona of the Israeli League, according to Eurobasket.com  He spent last season at Maccabi Ashdod and posted averages of 17.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per game and helped lead the team to the Israeli Cup semifinals.

Simpson ended then 2011-12 season with the Houston Rockets, then spent time with the Adelaide 36ers in Australia before moving to Israel.  His career also includes stops at Turk Telekom in Turkey, with the Alaska Aces in the Phillipines and with the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the D-League.
