Dellavedova returns to Australia for Boomers camp

Former Saint Mary’s guard Matthew Dellavedova is among 10 players selected to participate in one of the first core National Team camps as Australia begins the process for qualification into the 2016 Rio Olympic Games under new head coach Andrej Lemanis.

The training camp will be held from 26-30 July at the Basketball Australia National Centre of Excellence at the AIS in Canberra.  The Boomers will tip-off preparations for the 2013 FIBA Oceania Championships with a larger training camp to be held in Canberra at the start of August.

The 2013 FIBA Oceania Championships will see the Boomers taking on New Zealand  ahead of the 17th FIBA Basketball World Cup and World Championships in Spain and Turkey next year.  The four-game series will tip off in Auckland on Wednesday August 14, before arriving in Canberra at the AIS Arena on Sunday August 18.
