Geyer, Robinson near top of NCGA leaderboard

Former Saint Mary’s golfer Ben Geyer fired a 2-under par 70 today, while rising senior Cody Robinson was just one stroke back with a 71 at the NCGA Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif.

With just a few golfers left on the course, Geyer sits in fourth place, while Robinson is in a tie for fifth place in the 142-player field.  Head coach Scott Hardy shot a 3-over 75, while rising senior Nick Sako carded a 4-over par 76.  Assistant Coach Jeremy Niederstadt carded an 82.

The field returns to the course tomorrow for the second of three rounds.
