SMC rugby hosts Cal Poly in D1A semifinals

After knocking off Colorado 65-25 last weekend, the nationally-prominent Saint Mary’s rugby team has advanced to the USA Rugby D1A national semifinals.  The Gaels will host Cal Poly at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pat Vincent Memorial Field.

Cal Poly advanced by virtue of a 40-19 win over Colorado State last weekend.  The winner moves on to the national finals, scheduled for May 18 a 4 p.m. (Pacific) at Greensboro Soccer Stadium in Greensboro, N.C.  Arkansas State plays Life University in the other national semifinal game.
