Visit the Gaels marketing team in Danville

Members of the Saint Mary’s athletic marketing staff will be at the Danville Thursday Night Street Festival this week as part of its summer-long tour to promote the Gaels.

Stop by and chat, pick up some information on the upcoming SMC soccer, volleyball and basketball seasons and register to win some great prizes.

Co-sponsored by the Town of Danville and Discover Danville, the Street Festival is an opportunity for residents to enjoy all of the many different foods, wares and activities in Danville.

The festival is set to run from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. along Hartz Avenue. Five local area restaurants will each have their own courtyard of fine dining for those looking for a bite to eat, wine and beer gardens will be set up to show off local brands and street vendors will be set up showcasing what they have to offer.

SMC athletic marketing staffers are planning to attend events throughout the summer in Dublin, Lafayette, Moraga, Pleasanton and Pleasant Hill.  Make sure to stop by and say hello!

Can’t make it, but might I make a couple of suggestions: 1) encourage Gael supporters to wear their “Gael gear” everywhere during critical marketing seasons, and 2) to strike up conversations whenever possible about the entertainment value of a Gael ticket. I have made these suggestions on GodisaGael but it would be far more effective coming from you folks. “Word of mouth” can work wonders.
