Mussadi Named PCSC Player Of The Week By College Sports Madness

Saint Mary’s freshman pitcher Lujane Mussadi earned her second weekly honor in as many weeks, as College Sports Madness named her their Pacific Coast Softball Conference Player of the Week.

Mussadi, who earned PCSC Pitcher of the Week from the conference last week, pitched in all four games for the Gaels at the Bronco Classic. She allowed just three earned runs in 22 1/3 innings of work, and threw her second shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over Santa Clara. The shutout came in the second game of a day where Mussadi had already thrown 10 innings in a 4-3 win over Cal State Northridge.

With her performance at the Bronco, Mussadi lowered her ERA to 1.83 and improved her record to 3-2 on the season.

Mussadi and the Gaels will be back on the field Saturday when they host UC Davis in a doubleheader at Cottrell Field. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
