Congratulations to former Saint Mary’s sports information director Mike Matthews for his recent appointment as commissioner of the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
Matthews began his career in athletics as the Gaels’ publicity director and worked in both the West Coast and Pac-12 Conference offices, the latter for 27 years.
