College Sports Madness released its 2013 Preseason All-Pacific Coast Softball Conference list on Thursday, with four Gaels earning honors in advance of the upcoming season.
2012 PCSC Coastal Division Pitcher of the Year Jessica Lemmon was named a first team pitcher, and was joined on the first team by outfielder Brittany Sabatini. Infielder Christine Torrise was named to the second team. And, infielder Loralie Fitzpatrick was named as the conference’s Freshman of the Year, as the native of Roseville, Calif. joins the Gaels for her first season in Moraga.
The Saint Mary’s softball team kicks off the 2013 season on Feb. 7 in Hawaii when it takes part in the Oceanic Time Warner Cable Paradise Classic in Honolulu. The Gaels’ home opener takes place Feb. 16 with a doubleheader against Sonoma State. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
