College basketball website College Hoops Daily has listed Saint Mary’s guard Matthew Dellavedova as the best player in the West Coast Conference for the first half of the season. They also list Anthony Ireland (LMU), Kevin Foster (SCU), Brandon Davies (BYU) and Cole Dickerson (USF) as the league’s best through the non-conference season.
Other names from SMC non-league opponents include: Eastern Washington’s Justin Crosgile and Venky Jois (Big Sky); Harvard’s Wesley Saunders (Ivy); and Jarred Shaw of Utah State (WAC).
