Delly keeps climbing the charts

Since we had plenty of free time during today’s return trip from Des Moines to Moraga (we left the hotel at 5 a.m. central time, arrived in Moraga around 11 a.m.), I was able to spend a few minutes updating the SMC hoops record book.  You can find the updates at this link.

With his 31-point effort last night at Drake, Matthew Dellavedova surpassed Robert Haugen (1985-89) for fifth on the school’s career scoring list.  Delly now has 1,527 points and is 347 points shy of Daniel Kickert’s school record.

He also passed current Nevada head coach David Carter for fourth on the career games started list with 106.  Kickert leads with 122.  And, he passed Odell Johnson (1955-57) with the eighth-most free throw attempts at 430.

Delly and his mates will return to action Tuesday night at home against Jackson State.  Click here or call (925) 631-GoTx for tickets.
